Heron Cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms and is an excellent option for your family's self-catering holiday in North Devon. The 4-Star holiday home is one of six cottages at Robin Hill Farm, a family-run site two miles south of Bideford and within a short drive of Westward Ho! The semi-detached property has original thick stone walls, oak beams, and rural views. Guests can use the indoor swimming pool, games room, and outdoor play area. Lanes and footpaths are accessible from the farm, including a route to Bideford, west towards the coast, and inland towards Dartmoor.
Robin Hill Farm is in a quiet rural location, a mile from the nearest neighbour. It may be quiet, but it is certainly not isolated. Located at the end of a half-mile private driveway with 14 acres of woodland and fields, the 200-year-old farm is handy for the A39 and only 11 miles from the A361, so it's easy to get around to beaches and attractions. Drive north over the river to Saunton Sands, Croyde, Woolacombe and Mortehoe beaches, or south to Boscastle and Tintagel. Westward Ho! and Peppercombe Beaches are around six miles away, as is the South West Coast Path. The coastline here is spectacularly rugged, and it's easy to see why pirates were so prevalent.
Two miles away, Bideford is a bustling harbour town with lots of places to shop, eat and drink. It's also a great place to take a sightseeing boat trip and hire a bike, accessing the 180-mile Tarka Trail from town. Local family-friendly attractions include The BIG Sheep, The Milky Way Adventure Park and The Ultimate Adventure Centre. Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks are a scenic drive away, like the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, The Museum of Dartmoor Life, and RHS Gardens Rosemoor.
Heron Cottage is suitable for those with pet allergies, as dogs are not allowed. However, several of the other cottages on site are dog-friendly, so please see the owner's website if you want to bring your dog.

Outside: The cottage has an enclosed south-facing garden with seating and a hedge for privacy. A path leads to the swimming pool and games room.
Additional Information: Pets and smoking are not permitted. Bed linen, bath towels, WiFi and utilities are included. A travel cot, highchair and a stairgate are available on request.
