Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands, is renown for its large sandy beaches and spectacular coastal walking trails. It’s not surprising that the soft sand and safe swimming at St Brelade’s Bay makes it a popular spot to catch some rays. Alternatively, explore some of the more remote secluded coves, try your hand at water-skiing or catch some Atlantic waves. When you are done with the sand between your toes, spend an afternoon in the delightful capital city of St Helier where you can enjoy some retail therapy in the boutique shops or a sundowner in one of the trendy cocktail bars. Any foodies should treat themselves to a feast in one of the Michelin-starred restaurants, whilst a trip to Mont Orgueil Castle, which overlooks the pretty fishing village of Gorey, is a must for anyone interested in Jersey’s heritage.
