About Kimblewick

Kimblewick is a bright and spacious holiday cottage for up to nine guests, set within the peaceful grounds of Pitt Farm in South Devon. Located right next to the indoor swimming pool, and with a private BBQ terrace and secure garden, this five-bedroom property is a great choice for large families, multi-generational groups, or friends holidaying together. The cottage has a sociable layout, loads of room to relax inside and out, and full access to Pitt Farm’s fantastic shared amenities – all just a short drive from the beaches and family attractions of the South Hams.

The cottage is perfectly positioned to make the most of everything Pitt Farm has to offer. You’re just steps from the heated indoor pool, with a private terrace for outdoor dining and a gated front lawn ideal for kids. Inside, there’s a large living room with comfy seating, a separate dining room for shared meals, and a fully equipped kitchen for cooking up a feast. The utility room with WC, washing machine and tumble dryer makes longer stays easy. Upstairs, five bedrooms – including a huge en-suite master – offer plenty of space for a mix of adults and children, with two further bathrooms ensuring there’s no queue for the shower.

Families staying at Kimblewick love the freedom to roam and play in the safe, rural surroundings of Pitt Farm. Shared facilities include a games barn with soft play, table tennis and football tables, a tennis court, a zip wire, a boules court, and a large outdoor playground. There’s also woodland to explore, friendly animals to meet, and a real sense of laid-back fun that keeps guests coming back year after year. The owners live on site and are always happy to help with local tips or extra equipment like highchairs and stairgates.

Just two miles down the road is the village of East Allington, with a welcoming pub and easy access to Kingsbridge for shopping and supplies. The beaches of Bantham, Bigbury, South Milton and Thurlestone are all within 20 minutes’ drive, offering a mix of sandcastles, surf and sea views. Salcombe and Dartmouth are close by for boat trips, crabbing and coastal walks, while local attractions like Woodlands Family Theme Park, Totnes Rare Breeds Farm and Pennywell Farm are brilliant for younger kids. Whether you’re visiting for summer sun or a quiet off-season break, Kimblewick is well equipped, perfectly located and ready to welcome you.

Outside: The house has a private BBQ terrace with seating for relaxed outdoor meals. The secure, lawned front garden is great for little ones to play safely. It's located next to the indoor swimming pool for easy access. There's lots of onsite parking. You will have full use of the shared amenities like the games barn with soft play, table tennis and table football, tennis court, zip wire, boules court and outdoor playground. There are also woodland walks and friendly farm animals to feed.

Additional Information: Friday changeover in school holidays and peak summer season, with the potential for shorter breaks outside of these times. All utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. A travel cot and a highchair are available on request - please ask when booking. Well behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement.
