Tips: Many beaches operate dog bans throughout the summer months so make sure you find out if there are any dog restrictions on local beaches if you are taking your four legged friend with you. Pack your beach towels before you set off on holiday as many cottage owners only provide towels for use inside the cottage. Establish how far away the property is from the beach before booking and check if it is accessible by foot or car. Find out if local beaches are pebble or sand if this is important to you. Book early to avoid disappointment as seaside retreats get booked up quickly. If you are holidaying on a budget, consider a break outside of the peak summer months when you have a greater choice of properties available and larger savings to be made. Don’t forget your sun tan lotion; wind break and bucket and spade!
