Pelham is the largest of the cottages at Pitt Farm in South Devon and a brilliant base for family holidays, group getaways and multigenerational stays. Tucked away in the rolling hills of the South Hams, the cottage is set in its own sweeping driveway with a sunny garden, private swings, and lovely countryside views. You’ll be within easy reach of Kingsbridge, Salcombe and Dartmouth, and just a short drive from some of the area’s best beaches, walking trails and visitor attractions.
This is a wonderful part of the country for a proper UK holiday. You might spend the morning browsing independent shops in Totnes or Kingsbridge, enjoy lunch by the water in Dartmouth, and then head to Bantham or South Milton Sands for a swim and a wander along the coast path. Kids love crabbing at Dittisham or catching the sea tractor to Burgh Island, and there’s plenty to do inland too, from Pennywell Farm to Woodlands Adventure Park. With so much nearby, Pelham makes a great base whether you're planning to fill your days or just enjoy the fresh air and slow pace of rural life.
Back at Pitt Farm, guests can start the day with warm croissants or bread from the on-site shop and end it with a BBQ and a sundowner in the garden. Pelham has its own picnic tables, a large outdoor dining area for 12, and loads of room for kids to run around safely. Inside, the cottage is bright, welcoming and exceptionally spacious, with sociable living spaces, six bedrooms, and everything you need to cook, eat, relax and reconnect with family or friends. Guests also have full access to the shared facilities on site, like the heated indoor swimming pool, games barn, soft play, zip wire, playground, tennis court, woodland walks and a boules court. It’s a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere where everyone can find something to enjoy, whatever the weather.

Outside: The garden at Pelham is huge, with a large sloping lawn, its own swing set, and a BBQ area with an outdoor dining table for 12. The sweeping driveway has parking for up to 3 cars and extra parking available by arrangement prior to arrival. You have full access to the farm's heated indoor swimming pool, games barn with soft play, table tennis and table football. There's a tennis court with racquets, a woodland boules court, a zip wire, an outdoor play area, and farm animals to feed. The owners operate an honesty shop offering essentials, including fresh bread and croissants, daily.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are provided. A travel cot, stair gates, and a high chair are available if requested when booking. This property is pet-free.
