It is a favourite of families and couples who appreciate the serene setting less than two miles from Uppingham, near the borders of Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire, and close to sights like Rutland Water, Stamford, Rockingham Castle and Motorway, Burghley House, Grantham House and Lyveden. Leicester is around forty minutes by car (or you can get the train from Oakham) and Nottingham, Cambridge, Peterborough, Northampton are all within around an hour’s drive of the cottage.
