Holiday homes with a swimming pool are highly popular and whilst they may come at a premium, they can provide hours of entertainment for the children come rain or shine. Having the exclusive use of a private pool to take a dip in before breakfast or at the end of the day is a popular facility, particularly for couples who enjoy a little privacy. However, the social element that shared facilities can offer for both children and adults alike is an added bonus, as is the opportunity of a little exercise to keep you fit whilst you are away putting on those holiday pounds!
Tips: Properties with swimming pools are highly sought after so make sure you book in advance. Check with the owner if you have sole or shared use of the pool and whether there are any time limitations on its use (both at certain times of the year and on a daily basis). Whilst owners may provide towels for use in the cottage, they may not provide towels for pool use, so double check beforehand or take your own. Don’t forget to pack the swimming aids for the little ones and make sure children are supervised at all times when around water.
An indoor pool is more likely to give you all-year round use. You may wish to check the temperature to which the pool is heated with the owner.
Some of our holiday homes have a private swimming pool and others have pools for the shared use of guests. Details of the use and any exclusions are normally available on the property listing or owners own website.
Many owners have this included within the renal price but we recommend you clarify this with the owner prior to booking.
Currently, we have 187 (but this changes!) holiday homes with the use of a swimming pool.
Whilst many holiday homes provide towels for bathing, the majority do not provide pool towels so we recommend you bring your own or clarify this with the owner before arrival.
Is the pool heated and to what temperature?
