Sidmouth is a charming seaside town sitting on the south coast in Devon. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast and is home to Sidmouth Town Beach and Jacob's Ladder Beach, both popular for rock pooling and swimming. It is also known for its dramatic cliff top walks and stunning sea views towards Ladram Bay and its unique red sea stacks. There is a choice of galleries, cafes and boutique shops on the high street alongside restaurants serving freshly caught seafood and traditional cream teas.

Sandwiched between Sidmouth and Lyme Regis with Beer close by (walkable around the coast), you can enjoy an abundance of attractions for day trips out and lazy days on the beach. Swallow cottage is homely and welcoming, in a quiet position and wonderful for all ages and well behaved pets. A few yards from the cottage is a beautiful National Trust Combe, leading a mile down to a lovely natural beach which is dog friendly, as is The Donkey Sanctuary, which children love, and is free to enter. The Sanctuary is just a few minutes walk away and has a good cafe overlooking the donkeys and combe to the sea, as well as eight miles of walkways. Sidmouth has lovely shops, and Branscombe, Beer and Lyme Regis are all within easy reach. The local Coast Path walking is spectacular.
