Wootton Lodge is a luxurious holiday rental in the grounds of Wootton Manor near Umberleigh in rural Devon. It's beautifully presented, sleeping eight people in four bedrooms with spectacular views towards Exmoor and no passing traffic. The lodge is a fantastic choice for families or friends who want easy access to beaches, countryside walks, and scenic cycling routes without compromising on space or privacy.
Wootton Manor dates back to at least the early 17th Century, and it could be even older than that. The owners run a successful B&B from the manor house, which is half a mile down a private lane from Wootton Lodge, keeping the lodge wonderfully private with its own garden and ample parking. The spacious holiday home sits amongst 90 private acres of grounds, including meadows, streams, and woodland. When you're ready to venture out, you'll find a vast expanse of beautiful countryside with footpaths, bridleways and mountain bike trails to explore and enjoy. The Tarka Trail covers 180 miles, 30 of which have traffic-free cycling.
There's no way you can visit North Devon, or any part of Devon, and not spend time at the beach. Take your beach chair to Saunton Sands, Northam Burrows, Westward Ho!, Woolacombe, Putsborough, Croyde Bay, or Combe Martin. You'll get sublime views from the South West Coast Path, while Libbaton Golf Course and Stafford Moor Fishery offer alternative ways to relax. The BIG Sheep is a full day of family fun, as is The Milky Way. Those with an adventurous soul can ride quad bikes, play paintball and throw axes at Keypitts. For a different perspective of the coast, book a sea safari on a speedy RIB or a seat on the more sedate Ilfracombe Princess to spot seals, dolphins and porpoises.

Wootton Lodge is a beautiful light and airy barn conversion with panoramic views. Accommodation is all on ground floor level with no internal stairs.
Outside: Two large French windows open onto the private garden which has a dining area and a charcoal barbecue and a firepit. There is off-street parking for four cars.
Additional Information: Bed linen, bath towels, WiFi and utilities are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome by arrangement and a small surcharge. Wootton Lodge is a non-smoking property.
