Part of Pitt Farm Holiday Cottages in the South Hams, it’s a smart and comfortable space with a recently updated kitchen, Neff appliances, quartz worktops and a generous living-dining area. Upstairs, there’s a spacious double bedroom and a contemporary bathroom with both bath and walk-in shower. A travel cot fits comfortably, making this a great option for a couple travelling with a baby. Outside, there’s a sunny seating area with a charcoal barbecue—just right for a relaxed breakfast or unwinding with a drink at the end of the day. Guests have full use of the ten-acre site and all Pitt Farm’s excellent facilities, including a heated indoor swimming pool, tennis court, games barn, and children’s play areas.

Cavasson is a quieter spot on the site, but you’re always just a few steps from the fun. Younger children love the woodland den area, trampoline and huge adventure playground, while older ones make the most of the games barn with table tennis, table football, and retro arcade games. Daily animal feeding is open to all guests—often the highlight of a little one’s stay. Travelling with a baby is made simpler thanks to the range of equipment available at no extra charge: stair gates, highchairs, cots, changing mats and more. The pool is kept at a toddler-friendly 30 degrees, and there are baby swings available outside as well.
You’re under 25 minutes from several of South Devon’s best beaches, including Bigbury-on-Sea and Burgh Island, Bantham (great for surfing and bodyboarding), South Milton Sands and Hope Cove. A little further along the coast, Blackpool Sands and Slapton offer shingle bays with clear swimming water. The nearest town is Kingsbridge, just over five miles away, with a good mix of independent shops, cafés, delis, butchers and bakeries, plus a popular farmers’ market every other Saturday. You can also explore the upmarket seaside town of Salcombe, the historic maritime town of Dartmouth, or visit Totnes, known for its creative spirit and independent outlook.
This part of Devon is packed with things to see and do. You’re within easy reach of Dartmoor National Park, the South West Coast Path, and attractions such as Paignton Zoo, Dartmouth Castle, the South Devon Railway, Woodlands Family Theme Park and the Babbacombe Model Village. Additional Information: Cavasson does not allow dogs but there are other pet-friendly cottages at Pitt Farm if you want to bring your pet. Smoking is not permitted.
