Beechcomber Cottage sleeps six guests and is located in the picture postcard fishing village of Beer, one of East Devon's prettiest coastal retreats with its stream that meanders its way along the main street towards the beach. Nestling amongst the beautiful rolling hills of East Devons, Beer oozes nostalgia and is surrounded by stunning coastal scenery.
In the heart of the village is the horseshoe shaped pebble beach with its sunny aspect backed by gleaming white cliffs. With rock pools, clean waters, beach huts to hire, and cafes, restaurants and pubs, it has an old fashioned charm that is so often hard to find in modern life. Forming part of the South Devon coastal footpath, the cliffs provide superb walking opportunities and the coastline is great for fossil hunting being part of a World Heritage Site.
Famous for lace, stone and its smuggling past, Beer is an ideal seaside resort for couples, families and friends getting together. There are plenty of attractions on offer locally; enjoy a crab sandwich in one of the beach cafes, take a fishing trip, walk the coastal footpath and visit pretty places like nearby Branscombe along the way or simply relax and indulge in a Devonshire cream tea! Visit the Quarry Caves, Pecorama (one of Devon's top attractions sitting on the hills above Beer) or the splendid regency towns of Lyme Regis and Sidmouth. The City of Exeter is also within easy reach and just a forty minute car ride.
Beer is the sort of place that once discovered people fall in love with and return year after year and it received the Best Kept Village Award in 2010.
Built around 1900, Beachcomber Cottage sits in an enviable quiet, sunny position just four minutes easy stroll from the beach and a minute from the shops, galleries and eating establishments on the main street. Exceptionally well equipped, centrally heated and with a pretty sunny garden (pick up some local fish for an alfresco seafood supper) it is an ideal retreat at any time of the year.

- Sitting room with lovely views of the village, large comfy sofas, fireplace (with Gas fire), thirty two inch LCD widescreen television, DVD/CD player and a selection of games and books.
- Dining/kitchen with washing machine, hob/oven, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and pine table with six chairs.
- Cloakroom with WC and wash basin.
- Light and airy bathroom with shower over bath, WC and wash basin.
- Two pretty double bedrooms.
- Pretty twin bedroom with two single beds and small television and DVD player.
Outside: Private sunny garden with lovely village views that extend to the hills beyond - an ideal place for an alfresco meal after a day on the beach affording a sunny aspect through into the evening. Fenced and gated, the garden is secure for dogs. The cottage is served by a pedestrian pathway that is for the private use of the ten cottages in the row. This runs between the cottage and its garden and has a gate at each end making it suitable for children and pets. Cars can be parked at the end of the terrace whilst off-loading and parking is available (five minute walk) in the village car park (if you park at the back of the car park you can see the car from the cottage). A weekly parking permit is well priced and allows you to use some other car parks in East Devon (some restrictions apply).
Additional information: Gas central heating is included and linen can be hired at an additional charge. Pets are welcome at £25 each.
