Moonseeker is in the heart of rural Devon, on the border of Dartmoor National Park and less than an hour's drive from beaches on both the north and south coast. The beautifully converted barn provides holiday accommodation on a non-working farm just outside of Okehampton, on a quiet lane with no passing traffic. It's idyllic and tranquil yet within easy reach of the towns, activities and attractions that make Devon such a fantastic holiday destination. With two bedrooms sleeping up to four people, the cottage is perfect for couples, families with children over the age of eight, and friends.
Being on the edge of Dartmoor means guests staying in Moonseeker have easy access to beautiful footpaths, cycling routes and bridleways. Exploring this region is a delight in any season not only for the panoramic landscape views but also for the birds and wildlife that thrive in the protected environment. The West Devon Way runs from Okehampton to Plymouth, with other local way-marked trails including a five-mile Victorian Landscape Walk, a six-mile Railways, Castles and Quarries route, and the Two Castles Trail which stretches for 24 miles from Okehampton to Launceston. There's also the stunning South West Coast Path and the Devonshire Heartland Way. Cycling is another popular way to explore, and there's a national cycle route (27) that passes the track leading to the cottages as it goes between Plymouth and Ilfracombe. The Granite Way, Tarka Trail, Plym Valley Trail and Camel Trail are other excellent options.
There is plenty to keep you happily occupied all day, every day when you stay at Moonseeker. Hire a bike, book a guided pony trek, go canoeing and kayaking down fast-flowing white-water rivers, or get your thrills climbing and abseiling on Dartmoor's iconic granite tors that were shaped 50 million years ago and help make the region unique. Wander around the ruins of Okehampton Castle before visiting the Museum of Dartmoor Life. Westward Ho! and Bideford are less than an hour's drive from the cottage, as are the beautiful beaches on the south coast and the English Riviera.
Moonseeker is entirely private and self-contained and can be booked on its own or together with the owner's other cottage, Dreamcatcher, which can sleep two people. Please see the owners website for information.

Accommodation Comprises:
There has been a farm on the site of Webber Hill Farm since at least Tudor times, with the owners able to trace life here back to 1570. As you would expect given the age, Moonseeker has a long history and is a semi-detached holiday cottage adjacent to the main farmhouse where the owner lives. They are on hand to welcome guests and answer questions, but the cottage is completely separate.
Lovingly restored from the farms cobble-floored shippon where the cows used to live, Moonseeker has been beautifully presented throughout and has lots of character and charm and accommodation split over two levels.
