Bay Tree offers single level self-catering accommodation for four guests and is beautifully presented throughout. With a twin and double bedroom, it is ideal for friends, families and couples and a popular choice for a golfing break being close to Saunton's impressive links golf course with thirty six holes split across two courses.
Modern with a high degree of comfort, Bay Tree sits in the North Devon village of Braunton with shops within strolling distance as well as eating establishments to cater for all tastes (from fresh seafood to Thai, and Indian to French cuisine). Located in a quiet position with off-road parking, the property is a short drive from the stunning beaches of Saunton and Croyde, as well as Saunton Golf course and Braunton Burrows with a sand dune system teeming with wildlife and wild plants. The Tarka Trail with some thirty miles of traffic free walks and cycle rides, and Velator Quay which is popular with sailors, walkers and birdwatchers are both a short walk from Bay Tree. Bike hire is also available.
Having wide appeal, Bay Tree is popular with those who like to keep active, play golf on the best links courses in the South West, cycle and walk, as well as those who want to laze on the beach or explore the areas many attractions. Cycle or walk the Tarka Trail to Barnstaple with its Pannier Market and excellent shops and eating establishments (stopping enroute at Braunton Inn to admire the views and enjoy a glass of refreshment!). For those who are not up for walking back, hop on the bus.
Bay Tree has fast internet. Down load speed of 72.5Mbps which allows multiple device streaming of HD videos. And is more than adequate for ‘working from home’.
Saunton's and Croyde's vast sandy beaches are nearby. These beaches are ideal to lay your towel and are popular haunts with surfers and families. A little further round the coastline are Woolacombe, Ilfracombe, Coombe Martin and then Lynton and Lynmouth (joined by a cliff railway) in Exmoor's stunning national park. Head in the other direction to Westward Ho!, Bideford and the picturesque village of Clovelly.
A visit to the South West would not be complete without a Devonshire cream tea (jam first!) and the riverside setting of Watersmeet National Trust House is the perfect place to indulge. Alternatively head to the dramatic coastal setting of Hartland Peninsula with its fantastic cliff top walks, lighthouse and hotel for refreshments once you have worked up an appetite.

Outside: There is a pretty fully enclosed garden with patio (including outside furniture) for alfresco dining and a lawn for relaxing. The garden affords a sunny aspect, allowing guests to make the most of the warmer months.
Additional information: A cot is provided (please bring you own bedding as it is not provided for the cot). Unfortunately no pets and no smoking. Children welcome. WiFi throughout. Short breaks (three night minimum) available in low season. Prices include heating, linen, electricity and towels. Payment is accepted by bank transfer (preferred), cheque and credit card.
