Lansdowne Park is on a quiet residential street in Totnes, conveniently located just 10 minutes walk from the town centre and close to both Dartmoor National Park and the South Hams coast. There is space for up to three people to sleep in two bedrooms.
Totnes is a lively market town with an excellent array of independent and family-run shops, cafes, pubs and other amenities. The market runs on Friday and Saturday in Civic Square, selling everything from spicy noodles to antique curios, as well as a fantastic food market on the third Sunday of every month. Totnes has a long history with strong Norman roots that are easily visible in the stone castle that sits proudly on the hill above the town. If you are interested in historic fortresses then pay a visit to nearby Dartmouth Castle and Berry Pomeroy Castle, the latter of which is hidden in ancient woodland and reputed to be one of the most haunted sites in England.
There is a wealth of fun activities to enjoy whatever time of year you visit. If your perfect holiday involves never sitting still then jump on your bike or lace up your hiking boots and explore the beautiful natural surroundings ranging from mountains to the coast. Climbing, golf and horse riding are three more popular pastimes, or take to the waters of the River Dart and go sailing, kayaking or fishing. The region is liberally scattered with vestiges of the past including castles, churches and historic country house and gardens, and there are countless country pubs serving local beers, ales and home-cooked meals to tempt every palate.
The beaches of South Hams are stunning. Strung along the South Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) they are a vision of quiet coves and sweeps of sandy shores, rockpools and craggy cliffs. Some have calm waters that are ideal for swimming, while others boast a perfect break and attract surfers and kiteboarders by the dozen. Paignton and Torquay are less than ten miles from the cottage, and with excellent road and rail links from Totnes, it is easy to explore far and wide from Lansdowne Park's very comfortable base.

Lansdowne Park is a bungalow with accommodation all on one level. It has private gardens front and rear. The owners have created a light, bright, welcoming environment where couples and families can quickly settle in and feel at home.
Outside: At the rear, steps lead from a paved patio to lawn which is bordered by mature shrubs. There is a tidy garden at the front of the cottage behind a picket fence, as well as a driveway providing space to park two cars, with further free parking on the street.
Additional Information: Lansdowne Park has central heating and WiFi. All utilities, sheets and bath towels are included. Short breaks (minimum of three nights) are available outside of summer. Pets and smoking are not permitted. Flexible changeover is offered except during the 'Summer Peak Season' when the changeover day is Saturday and 7 night breaks are offered.
