The Keeping Cottage is a light and airy holiday home that attracts discerning couples looking for a stylish retreat with that special little something. The individual and unique French Country style of the accommodation provides a restful place for enjoying a relaxing holiday in this beautiful part of South Devon.
With a wonderful 'home from home’ feel that is immediately apparent the minute you walk in, the cottage provides a truly atmospheric holiday retreat with a wealth of character.
There is a beautiful beach just one mile from the cottage which is accessible by foot (reasonably easy level walk) or alternatively you can drive and park at the beach and enjoy the safe and sandy stretch of coastline. There is also a cafe at the beach, swimming is safe and the sunsets are spectacular - the perfect place for enjoying a glass of wine as the sun goes down whilst listening to the waves!
Conveniently situated in the popular South Hams area of Devon, The Keeping Cottage is just a short drive, along a country lane, to Salcombe. Sitting on the estuary, Salcombe is renowned for its beautiful coastline and fantastic sandy beaches and has something for everyone, whatever your age! It offers very good restaurants, watersports, superb sailing and also horse riding, golf, tennis, squash and fishing - all available in the surrounding area.
Also nearby is the popular market town of Kingsbridge where you will find a great selection of boutiques and cafes, as well as grocers, butchers and two supermarkets. Within thirty minutes drive is the historic town of Totnes, a wonderful town to visit with its unique culture and wonderful market. For golfers, there is a golf course at Thurlestone which is just a five minute drive away and also at Dartmouth and Bigbury which are both twenty minutes by car.
