Belle Vue translates as “beautiful view” and what a stunning vista this self-catering Woolacombe apartment has! Two bedrooms comfortably accommodate up to four people, and the property is as popular with couples as it is with families and friends. Many guests return year after year to enjoy the peaceful location which is only a two-minute walk to the beach and just a hop, skip and a jump from The Tides Inn pub.
Woolacombe is an award-winning seaside town with plenty to offer apart from a beautiful beach. Although the apartment has a parking space, you could easily stay here without a car as there are shops, restaurants, pubs and other entertainment all within walking distance or accessible by public transport. The three-mile beach has won multiple awards for its cleanliness and amenities. It is the sort of place where people come for generations, with adults bringing their kids to enjoy the same type of beach holiday they loved when they were young. As well as swimming, you can go rock pooling, surf, kayak and windsurf, or hire a beach hut and enjoy the scene. Next to the main beach is Barricane Beach with its fantastic café serving delicious lunches and Sri Lankan curries on summer evenings.
There is so much to do in Woolacombe from striding out along the Morte Point Trail or the South West Coast Path to Baggy Point and Potter’s Hill, or meandering past villages and through woodland from the Kinever Valley to Bennett’s Mouth. Funder Island is close to the apartment with crazy golf, rides and traditional seaside entertainment. Even in paradise it has to rain sometimes, but the Ilfracombe Aquarium, Exmoor Zoo, Big Sheep and indoor Pannier Market at Barnstaple all offer a fun way to shelter from inclement weather.
Mortehoe and Croyde have lovely beaches nearby, as have Westward Ho!, Coombe Martin and Ilfracombe. Head inland to discover charming villages like Georgeham and Appledore or spend a few hours browsing the shops and markets in Barnstaple and Braunton. The beauty of Belle Vue lies not only in its high standard of accommodation but in its unbeatable location that puts you within reach of the most beautiful parts of North Devon.

The accommodation at Belle Vue is all on one level. While it is on the ground floor, there are steps leading from the basement parking space, and one from the front entrance into the apartment.

Outside: Two south-facing balconies benefit from ocean views and allow you to enjoy every possible minute outdoors. The smaller terrace is ideal for two people to enjoy a glass of wine in peace, while the large one has space for four people to sit. The apartment comes with a dedicated parking space, which is very handy in a popular seaside town. There is also access to a secure storage for bikes, surfboards and wetsuits.
Additional Information: Belle Vue has WiFi and central heating. All utilities, linen and bath towels are provided. Guests are asked to bring their own beach towels and cot linen if required. Short breaks are possible at certain times of the year. No smoking. With prior arrangement with the owner, they will accept a dog, except during the peak months of July and August (an additional charge of £20 applies should you bring a dog to cover the additional cleaning costs).
