Bryher sleeps four guests in two bedrooms and is a charming semi-detached holiday cottage in an enviable position looking over the picturesque Axe Valley. Ideally placed only a mile from Seaton on the South Devon coastline, the cottage is ideally located for exploring the beautiful Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage site.
Situated in Colyford village, a highly desirable holiday destination located between East Devon and West Dorset. The area is a quiet, peaceful location where you can escape away and relax amongst beautiful rolling countryside and lovely beaches.
There are plenty of attractions close by for those who enjoy walking, sailing, fishing, golfing and horse riding. Alternatively why not simply relax on one of the beautiful beaches where you can search for fossils or explore the rock pools. Seaton wetlands is just five minute's walk away. For the little ones, a trip to Crealy Adventure Park is always as hit, as is Pecorama with its model railways at the seaside village of Beer. The Seaton Tramway taking you on a scenic adventure by the side of the River Axe through two nature reserves (great for wildlife enthusiasts!) is also sure to be a holiday highlight.
Glorious Devonshire countryside surrounds Bryher and there is a Post Office, butchers, village stores, a restaurant and two pubs in Colyford, as well as the Seaton Tramway which passes through the village and provides a nice 'open-top' way of seeing the countryside.
The seaside towns of Sidmouth (with its much loved Donkey Sanctuary) and Lyme Regis are just ten minutes by car and there are plenty of restaurants locally where you can sample the freshest of seafood.
For those who want to venture a little further afield, Exeter City and Somerset's county town of Taunton are both forty minutes by car.
Bryher is exceptionally well positioned amongst beautiful countryside with superb opportunities for walkers including the South West Coast Footpath, as well as fossil hunting at Lyme Regis. Lace up your walking boots and get out and about exploring or enjoy the simple pleasures like a Devonshire cream tea or the freshest of crab sandwiches overlooking the sea at Beer. Honiton is also worth a visit if you like antique hunting.
