Tillers Cottage is a gorgeous period holiday cottage with an appeal that has only strengthened over the centuries. Sleeping eight people in four very comfortable bedrooms, the North Yorkshire holiday cottage is beautifully decorated to appeal to guests of all ages. Families and friends love the quiet village setting in Ebberston, the convenience for Pickering and Ryedale, and the ease with which they can explore not only the North York Moors National Park but also the spectacular Yorkshire coast. The Grapes Inn and its menu of real ales and home-cooked pub meals is a five-minute stroll from the cottage for when you don't feel like cooking.
Ebberston is a picturesque village with good road links despite its quiet setting. As well as the pub, you're also within walking distance of a playground, tennis court, and Chafer Wood nature reserve. It's a lovely spot to take the kids to run off some steam, with footpaths leading to surrounding villages if you're feeling energetic. Tillers Cottage is just over a mile from Snainton village's nine-hole golf course and friendly pub. More shops are four miles or a 10-minute drive away in Thornton-le-Dale, with a more extensive choice 20 minutes east of the cottage in Scarborough.
Whether you're into walking, windsurfing or window shopping, you'll find plenty of sights and activities to enjoy within a small radius of Tillers Cottage. Dalby Forest is great for hiking and mountain biking, with a Go Ape Activity Adventure Centre and a cafe so you can make a day of it. Eden Camp is fascinating for anyone interested in military and social history, and a trip on the North York Moors Railway is always fun. Flamingoland, Castle Howard and the North Yorkshire Water Park are very popular with guests staying at the cottage, as are the beaches and attractions at Scarborough, Filey and Whitby.
Guests frequently use the word "perfect" when describing their stay at Tillers Cottage. With holiday bookings available all year round, and short breaks between November and March depending on availability, it could be just the place you're looking for.
