Self Catering Holiday Cottages in Halifax

The New Hobbit is a large, exclusive-use group holiday home near Sowerby Bridge in West Yorkshire, offering space, privacy and flexibility for gatherings of scale. The former hotel sleeps up to 44 guests across 15 en-suite bedrooms, with further accommodation available nearby for larger groups of up to 70. On site, guests have use of a private bar, cinema room, games spaces, large dining and function room, commercial-style kitchen, and outdoor hot tub. Set in the countryside yet close to towns, transport links and walking routes, The New Hobbit suits celebrations, retreats, corporate stays and multi-generational group breaks.

At Cherry Tree Cottages, we have two warm traditional stone cottages, set in two acres of natural heather and woodland garden, with extensive views over the South Pennine countryside. Both our cottages are pet friendly. Dogs are welcome, and there are good footpath and bridleway walks right from the garden ----  We welcome longer stays and would like to help you when  between houses or during house renovations.
