About Park View Cottage

Park View Cottage is a dog friendly cottage in the picturesque village of Sewerby.

It's a lovely, comfortable holiday cottage with space for four people in two bedrooms and a layout as suitable for couples and friends as for families. Accommodation is all on one level, so it's great for guests who prefer to avoid stairs, and it's child and dog-friendly. The cottage is well-equipped for a self-catering stay, but locals recommend booking a table at the Ship Inn for their seasonal pub menu and chatty resident parrot, Charlie Green.

Sewerby is best known for Sewerby Hall, a Grade I listed Georgian property with 50 acres of parklands and manicured gardens with a small zoo and breathtaking views over Bridlington beach. It's just across the road from Park View Cottage and a gorgeous place for a stroll, followed by a pot of tea and cake. Other local attractions include Bondville Model Village, Flamborough Head and Lighthouse, and the puffins at RSPB Reserve Bempton Cliffs. The East Riding Leisure Centre in Bridlington has an indoor waterslide, while the seafront has a traditional amusement arcade and a mini-golf course. Further afield, Scarborough has a wide variety of attractions and a big beach, and you're only an hour from York and Castle Howard.

The East Ridings of Yorkshire offers so much all year round that it doesn't matter what time of year you are here. You'll always find a great view or fun activity. Runners can tackle the scenic Sewerby Parkrun, starting right by the cottage. Visitors can enjoy part of the 106-mile Cleveland Way or jump on their bikes and cycle along the Wolds Way. It is also a fantastic base from which to explore the Yorkshire coast. The owners use Park View as their holiday home and have ensured that it's very well equipped and welcoming for a self-catering holiday in every season.

Accommodation Comprises:

Park View Cottage is a traditional bungalow with decor influenced by the chic mid-century style.

  • Living/dining room with faux sofas, a designer fireplace, Smart TV and a glass dining table seating four people. 
  • Sunny kitchen with lots of natural light, a ceramic stove and electric oven, and cupboards well-stocked with equipment, utensils, crockery and glasses.
  • Main bedroom furnished with a wooden king-sized bed, bedside tables and reading lights. The owner can provide a travel cot but guests will need to bring cot bedding.
  • Twin bedroom featuring two single beds separated by a nightstand with reading light. These beds can be joined to create a king-sized bed if preferred. Beds are made up for the arrival of guests and bath towels are provided.
  • Family bathroom with a shower, WC and a handbasin.

Outside: Park View has an enclosed courtyard garden with a wooden deck, an outdoor dining table and chairs, and a chiminea. Parking onsite and free additional parking on the street outside.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are all included with the holiday rental. Guests to bring beach towels if they need them. Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Smoking is not permitted.
