The Hayloft accommodates two people and is a charming beautifully restored Grade II listed building providing holiday accommodation that is spacious with a high degree of comfort and style including exposed beams, log burner and wooden floors. A romantic luxury retreat, the Hayloft has lots of character and natural charm and offers all the right ingredients for a relaxing holiday for couples.
The fully equipped kitchen provides everything you need for a 'home away from home' and joins the open plan living/dining area where you can cosy up in front of the log burner after a busy day sightseeing. The stairs lead up to a large mezzanine bedroom with super-king size bed (which can also be arranged as two singles) and uninterrupted views over Teesdale's glorious countryside.
The ground floor bathroom (with WC, hand basin, heated towel rail and soft fluffy robes) provides the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing soak in the double-ended bath (with shower above) after a fun-packed day exploring the area.
With its own private enclosed garden and patio area where you can sit out when the sun shines and barbecue, The Hayloft offers all the right ingredients for relaxing and enjoying the country setting whilst listening to bird song and animals on the farm.
The farm with its friendly animals provides plenty to occupy guests and the summerhouse by the pond is the perfect place to relax and make the most of the last of the sunshine in the evening. Piercebridge village and Gainford are within easy reach and only a mile from The Hayloft offering shops should you need provisions, cafes, a farm shop selling organic produce and a fish and chip shop. There are also good pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area.
A stone’s throw from the Teesdale Way, The Hayloft is a superb choice for those who enjoy walking and outdoor activities. It is perfect for exploring the Dales with an abundance of bike trails, footpaths and bridleways close to hand in nearby Swaledale and Weardale. Guests staying at The Hayloft have use of a lockable store / drying area for outdoor gear.
