The Hayloft sleeps two guests and is a lovely Grade II listed building which has been beautifully restored to offer self-catering accommodation that is spacious with a high degree of comfort and style including exposed beams and wooden floors. A luxury romantic retreat, the Hayloft has plenty of character and natural charm providing the perfect relaxing retreat for two.
Inside The Hayloft is an open plan living/dining area, along with a well equipped kitchen. A wooden staircase takes you up to a mezzanine style bedroom which has a super-king bed that can also be arranged as a twin - this room affords lovely views over unspoilt countryside.
The luxury bathroom on the ground floor is perfect for a long soak at the end of a day exploring the area with double ended bath, overhead shower, wash basin, WC, heated towel rail and fluffy soft bathrobes - the ultimate in relaxation!
With its own private garden and patio area where you can sit out when the sun shines and barbecue, The Hayloft offers all the right ingredients to relax, unwind and soak up the country atmosphere whilst listening to the birds singing and animals on the farm.
There is plenty to keep you occupied on the farm with all our friendly animals and peaceful cottage garden. If it is relaxation you are after, the summerhouse by the pond is perfect for enjoying the early evening sun. Both Gainford and Piercebridge village are located one mile away and offer shops for provisions, a fish and chip shop, cafes and also a farm shop selling organic produce. The surrounding area also offers a good choice of welcoming pubs and very good restaurants for a meal out.
A stone’s throw from the Teesdale Way, The Hayloft is a superb choice for those who enjoy walking and outdoor activities. It is perfect for exploring the Dales including the abundance of bike trails, bridleways and footpaths of nearby Swaledale and Weardale. Guests staying at The Hayloft have use of a lockable store / drying area for outdoor gear.
