Crab Cottage sleeps up to six guests in two bedroom and is located in the maritime Kent town of Whitstable. Ideally positioned just a two minute walk from the beach, this traditional weather boarded holiday home is ideal for a family holiday by the sea.
The cottage was built in the 1820s by one of the shipyards in the town and has been used by fishermen, divers and shipwrights over the years. Part of a Georgian terrace of five cottages, each one is slightly different with its own individual charm.
Whitstable is a popular fishing town which is well known for its oysters (which can be sampled locally!). It is located on the Kent coast and conveniently situated just an hours drive from London and only seven miles from the historic cathedral City of Canterbury. Its harbour (where you can pick up some fresh fish for supper!) and bustling high street are only a ten minute stroll from Crab Cottage. Here you will find a great selection of restaurants (including seafood restaurants), traditional shops, cafes, pubs, local art and craft shops and interesting boutiques.
Crab Cottage is located on the Island Wall with an uninterrupted view to the old sea wall at the front and views over the Whitstable and Seasalter Golf Club to the rear beyond the well sized back garden.
Famous for its trendy pubs and restaurants, oysters and seafood, local art and stunning sunsets, Whitstable is a perfect place for a seaside holiday at any time of the year.

Crab cottage sleeps up to six guests and has gardens to the front and rear with the rear garden featuring a paved terrace where you can enjoy alfresco dining in fine weather. The cottage has central heating and has a real fireplace making it ideal all year round - there is nothing nicer than taking an embracing walk along the beach on a winters day to gather up the driftwood from the seashore for a fire back at the cottage.

Ground floor
Large living room which features a seating area with two sofas (one of which is a sofabed) and a dining area which seats six.
Fitted kitchen with Gas cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washer/drier. Door to rear garden.
First floor
Double bedroom to the front of the building with a bay window looking over the beach huts towards the sea.
Rear bedroom with bunk beds and fitted cupboards.
Bathroom ensuite with rear bedroom.
Additional information: Vintage style crockery and linens. Travel cot available. Electricity and Gas included within the price. Pets will be considered subject to an additional cleaning charge - please speak to the owners prior to booking. No smoking. Short breaks are available (apart from July or August) - please enquire with the owner.
