About Honey Tree Lodge

Honey Tree Lodge feels almost as if you're getting back to basics only instead of stripping away comforts, you're scaling back on stress and doubling up on luxury. The beautiful log cabin was handcrafted by the owners specifically for the site and provides a wonderful place which is ideal for couples but where up to six adults can relax in peace. Soak your stress away in the outdoor hot tub, soothe aching muscles in the sauna, and stretch out in front of the log burner with good wine and even better conversation. There's also a welcoming pub, the Royal Oak in Blean, a two-minute walk away.

Blean is a lovely village with an ancient woodland that is also an RSPB reserve. The woods cover 11 square miles and provide 120 miles of footpaths, bridleways and cycling routes that are only a moment's walk from the door. The variety of trees and wildlife make the woods a beautiful attraction in every season. As well as its friendly local pub, Blean has a village shop well-stocked with essentials and treats, and a village hall with a full timetable of events that include pilates and a gardening club. The Druidstone Wildlife Park is next door to the cottage.

Kent is a fantastic holiday destination whether you've lived your whole life in the UK or you're just visiting. It showcases the best of England and boasts thousands of years of history as well as iconic sights like the White Cliffs of Dover. Canterbury is only three miles from Honey Tree Lodge, with its magnificent cathedral, historic buildings, shops and other attractions. If you love a bit of stonework and a touch of luxury, make time to visit Leeds Castle, Dover Castle or Anne Boleyn's childhood home, Hever Castle. Float your boat at the Historic Dockyard in Chatham, or head four miles north to the coast at Whitstable for sand, seafood and sailing. The North Downs Way is nearby, as is the Royal St George's Golf Club at Sandwich.

Honey Tree Lodge is one of six wonderfully unique and quirky holiday homes at Kent Cottage Holidays, each of which is entirely individual and perfect. With Canterbury being just 40-minutes from London St Pancras, you can leave your desk at the end of the day and be soothing your stresses away in the hot tub before the sun goes down! Accommodation Comprises:

Honey Tree Lodge is a traditionally styled log cabin with modern comforts and furnishings, and accommodation all on one level with access for guests who use a wheelchair.

  • A long sofa, a log burner and a wall of glazed bi-fold windows make the living room an extremely comfortable place to put your feet up and relax. It's made even better with a 100-inch cinema TV screen and Bose sound speaker. One of the sofas opens into a double sofa bed which can sleep two adults.
  • With space for six people, the dining table is perfect for lingering over delicious meals with your friends. A breakfast bar/worktop separates the dining room from the kitchen, with natural light and wood being a consistent feature throughout.
  • Quality appliances make cooking fun and easy in the bespoke kitchen which has been hand-crafted to make the most of every inch of space. Appliances include a gas stove, double electric oven, a tall fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine.
  • Master bedroom with a king-sized bed with bedside tables, reading lamps and ample storage. The deep copper bath is an eye-catching feature of the room, and there is also a stylish granite handbasin.
  • Second bedroom with a king-sized bed, bedside tables and reading lights, proper storage, and windows overlooking the wildlife park. Both bedrooms have a TV with a DVD player and Freeview channels.
  • Contemporary wet-room with underfloor heating, a shower with both a rainfall and a normal shower-head, and a heated towel rail.

Outside: Bifold doors open from the living room onto the deck where there is a covered six-person hot tub and a table with six chairs. The sauna is close by. Guests staying at Honey Tree Lodge also have their very own private treehouse at the end of the garden with a log burner and deck. There is off-street parking.

Additional Information: All utilities, WiFi, sheets and bath towels are provided. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome through prior arrangement. No smoking or vaping is permitted indoors or in the grounds. Short breaks are possible all year round.
