Affectionately named ‘Toasty Oasty’ this cosy and charming 17th Century Oast is set in 3 Acres of grounds with a fishing lake. An open plan living dining area leads via a terracotta tiled hall to a striking kitchen packed with modern gizmos to cook up a feast. There are 3 pretty bedrooms, a stunning circular main bedroom with a snug reading room above, a 2nd twin bed room and a 3rd bedroom with double bed that includes a corner workstation for those hybrid working. A additional fold spare bed is available on request. . Other things to note The kitchen has an induction range hob and 2 ovens, fridge, and dishwasher and there is a separate American style fridge/freezer. The comfortable lounge has large sofas, magnificent log burner, 65 inch Smart TV with Netflix/Disney/PSP player and electric guitar that guests are welcome to play. The main bedroom has an en-suite shower, rolltop bath and WC and shared bath
Located near the market town of Tenterden and picturesque beaches at Rye, this 17th Century Oast is a blend of comfort and contemporary features. The stylish kitchen and main bedroom are in the roundel, charmingly circular spaces that once formed a working part in the drying process for hops used in beer making. Now converted this elegant home has an open plan lounge and dining area with traditional wood beams, large central log burner and oak floors. Set in 3 acres guests can enjoy views of the fishing lake and Kent farmland with walking trails direct from the door. The spacious patio is ideal for relaxing BBQ’s and for those active days historic locations, award winning vineyards, kayak boating base, golf courses, tennis and cycling are all just a stones throw away.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
● Bewl Water a large reservoir with a circular walk, run on cycle paths. There is a café on site and children’s playground.
● Bedgebury Pinetum is a evergreen forested arboretum with numerous walking and running trails and routes for Cyclists of all levels. There is a good café on site and ‘Go Ape’ a high rise adventure suited to older children.
● Stunning Bodiam castle is just up the road with a fish filled moat.
● Scotney castle is a charming ruined castle which is very pretty in Spring with lots of bluebells.
● The famous Leeds castle holds numerous events throughout the year including Medieval tournaments with jousting and archery. Children will love the rare breeds center around 15 minutes drive away in Woodchurch.
● Various Zoos include Port Lymph and the Wild Cat Sanctuary, both well worth a visit.
● The historic town of Rye offers antique shops and a host of outstanding restaurants. For wonderfully fresh seafood, visit the fishmonger located on the road out of Rye to Camber Sands.

● If you are a local ale enthusiast, visit the Old Dairy a microbrewery inn Tenterden. They offer 4 tasting ales so you can choose your favourite and sample their range.
● Finally if you like your wines, many vineyards in the area offer tasting experiences. The award winning Chapeldown Vineyard – 15 minutes by car also has a Museum that hosts open air theatre in the summer months.
LOCAL PUBS & RESTAURANTS
The Bull Pub and Ewe & Lamb Pub are around a 45 minutes walk direct from the Oast following the footpath that goes through the grounds. Dogs are welcomed warmly with food food. Check out the Komoot App, a good source of detailed directions for walkers, the App is free. Other pubs worth a visit are the Bull in Benenden, who offer a impressive Sunday Carvery. . The White Lion pub in Tenterden serves up delicious stone baked Pizzas plus wide ranging traditional dishes all in a friendly atmospheric setting. The Woodcock in Dingleden is a hidden secret with some of the tastiest food around. Also try the friendly Castle pub if you are visiting Bodiam castle, its conveniently located right next door.
