Marsh View is a wonderful holiday cottage in a quiet location on the Isle of Sheppey. Tucked away at the end of a private lane within walking distance of the award-winning Ferry House Inn, the beautifully converted barn sleeps eight people in four bedrooms, with incredible views of the surrounding countryside. The layout suits families, extended families and friends as the bedrooms are over two levels, with two being ensuite. The cottage has a private terrace, and guests have use of the shared grounds with fenced duck ponds with lots of space for picnics and playing. Guests also have the option of walking to the 2AA Rosette Ferry House restaurant for a meal or indulging in a relaxing massage in their treatment rooms.
The Isle of Sheppey is a natural haven off the coast of Kent. Measuring a mere four miles wide and nine miles long, it's somewhere you can easily navigate, even if you're only staying for a short break. There are excellent opportunities for walking and cycling, and because the landscape is nice and level, the footpaths and cycling routes are suitable for all ages. Favourite pastimes include walking around the coastal path and enjoying the spectacular views over the English Channel and Thames Estuary, swimming, paddle boarding and surfing at beaches like nearby Leysdown-on-Sea, Sheerness and Minster, or spotting birds and wildlife in The Swale and Elmley Marshes national nature reserves.
Within half an hour's drive are three golf courses, a riding school, an ice skating rink, greyhound racing, and outdoor activities like clay pigeon shooting. Maidstone is 30-minutes from the cottage, while Bluewater shopping centre is only 10-minutes further. Mix your days up with lazy visits to the seaside, non-stop shopping, and sightseeing in the famous city of Canterbury, which is less than an hour's drive.
This dog friendly cottage also has a fully-fenced dog safe garden and a dog exercise paddock has just been opened on site and is available to pre book for all Mocketts Farm Cottages guests.

Marsh View is a timber-clad brick cottage with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a wheelchair accessible layout on the ground floor. Accommodation is over two levels.

A shared games room is in a nearby building and has a pool, table football, and other toys and games.
Outside: The cottage has a private terrace with a picnic table and views of the enclosed duck pond. Guests enjoy shared use of the extensive grounds, and there is also off-street parking. There is a fully-fenced dog safe garden and the dog exercise paddock has recently opened for use of all Mocketts Cottages guests.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are all provided. Guests to supply cot bedding, beach towels and dog towels if they are required. A cot, highchair, and stairgate are available if requested when booking. Short breaks are possible, depending on availability. Smoking indoors is not permitted. Well-behaved dogs are welcome through prior arrangement.
