About Merchant House Merchant House is in Shaldon and only a short walk from the River Teign, cafes, shops and welcoming pubs like The London Inn and The Ferry Boat Inn. Kent’s Cavern Prehistoric Caves are ideal for keeping the kids happily amused in any weather, or perhaps Agatha Christie’s House, Greenway, is more to your taste. Walking is a delight not only along Devon’s Coastline but also through the gorgeous countryside. Dartmoor National Park is not very far away, providing even more opportunities for fun and adventure, including for climbers and mountain bikers.
