Wisteria Cottage is a beautiful holiday rental in Devon, providing guests with views that roll over the hills towards the sea, and a location that is close to both Dartmouth and Salcombe. The cottage is one of three lovely self-catering properties on Lamacraft Farm, a non-working farm owned and run by a family who takes pride in ensuring their guests enjoy a stay so wonderful they want to return year after year. With space for up to six people to stay in three bedrooms, Wisteria is ideal for couples or families.
The area around Wisteria Cottage is perfect for a holiday in every season. There is a dog-friendly pub, The Cricket Inn, just over a mile away, giving the perfect excuse (if you needed one!) for a countryside walk. An alternative destination is the Start Point Lighthouse just ten-minutes walk away and the South West Coast Path is also easy to access from the garden gate.
Those who want to spend a day at the beach can set-off and walk to Hallsands Beach. Other nearby beaches are Blackpool Sands, Salcombe's North and South Sands, Mill Bay, East Portlemouth, and the secluded Gara Rock - a cove that is a 15-minute walk from the nearest car park and escapes the day-trippers even on the hottest summer day. Slightly further away are Hope Cove, Thurlestone, Bigbury-on-Sea, and Bantham. There is a beach for everyone whether you want to build sandcastles, learn to surf or do nothing but enjoy the sunshine and the sound of the sea birds overhead.
Days out can include a boat trip to Burgh Island which was made famous by the prolific crime writer, Agatha Christie. Christie's house, Greenway, is managed by the National Trust and another fantastic Devon attraction. Those who appreciate grand houses and lovely gardens may want to see Coleton Fishacre House and Gardens or to go sightseeing with the Dartmouth Steam Railway and Riverboat Company.
Dartmouth is a lively town with excellent amenities that include places to shop, eat and drink. Salcombe is equally lovely although different in character, offering visitors a variety of shops and eateries. Kingsbridge is also worth a look. Local attractions include Paignton Zoo, Woodlands Family Theme Park, Dartmouth Castle and the Salcombe Maritime Museum. The wonderful views and peaceful location of Wisteria Cottage allow visitors to enjoy doing nothing more taxing than sitting in the garden and relaxing.
Wisteria and its sister cottages at Lamacraft Farm, Jasmine and Rose, can be booked independently or together to accommodate groups of extended family or friends wanting to holiday together, whilst appreciating a good degree of personal space. The cottages are a fantastic place to relax and spend time in comfortable surroundings with a landscape that is beautiful in every season.

Wisteria is at the end of a row of four terraced cottages, set on a quiet lane with an elevated position that gives incredible views of the South Hams countryside and coast. Accommodation is over two levels.

Outside: The cottage has a gated courtyard and access to six acres of countryside and woodland with a footpath that leads from the cottage to the South West Coast Path. There is off-street parking. EV Electric Vehicle charging is available (for an additional charge) at the neighbouring property with a Zappi charger.
Additional Information: All utilities, bed linen and kitchen linen are provided. Towels are not provided but are available should you wish to hire. Dogs are welcome at a charge of £25 per dog, please let the owner know when you are booking. Short breaks are available outside of high season. Smoking is not permitted. The cottage has WiFi/fibre to the premises with its own router.

Jasmine and Rose Cottage are next to Wisteria and ideal for a group holiday with three families so sleeps 14 in total. Please enquire if you'd like to bring more than two dogs.
