Welcombe is a small scattered farming community on the North Devon coast. It is peaceful and unspoilt - an area of deep wooded combes, small coves and airy clifftops. The small beach is reached down an unmade track with a (free) carpark and is sandy at low tide with myriad rock pools waiting to be explored. It is popular with surfers, is dog friendly, and has magnificent sunsets. The area is also noted for its clear night skies - a novelty to some visitors.
There is an enormous variety of activities available from walking - the coastal path is one mile away - surfing, swimming, cycling, golf and much more. The coastal scenery is rugged with dramatic rough seas at times and plenty of bird life. Just down the coast are the wide sandy beaches of Sandy Mouth, Bude and Widemouth Bay. Close to Welcombe are two Wildlife nature reserves with sheltered woodland walks, a mass of primroses and wild daffodils in the spring.
There are several National Trust properties nearby and the renowned RHS gardens at Rosemoor, and in Cornwall, the Eden Project. Clovelly and Appledore are two famous fishing villages and there are several historic market towns worth a visit. Bude is an unspoilt former port with many attractions and good shops. There are many good places to eat both on the coast and inland - there are still many small village pubs offering good food - and of course the 'local' within walking distance.

Sea Breezes is one of just 12 bungalows on this private site. They are privately owned and only half are available to rent. They are surrounded by lawns and gardens with views over the fields to the sea. The car park is situated outside at the top of the site - there is no vehicular access, please note. Attractively decorated and comfortably furnished, many guests return each year. The dogs, in particular, seem to enjoy themselves!
