The Friendly Camp and Caravan Park is as welcoming as their name suggests. It's great for a relaxed and affordable self-catering holiday in Cornwall, either with the kids, or just the two of you. You don't even need to own a tent or caravan to enjoy this fantastic location near Helston on the beautiful Lizard Peninsula. There are 12 comfortable static caravans on site, each sleeping six people in two bedrooms with a sofa bed in the living room. Some are pet friendly, and all come with gas, electricity and WiFi included with the holiday rental. All you'll need to bring is your bedding, towels, and your bucket and spade!
The caravan park is on a family-run farm a mile from Mullion, the biggest village on the Lizard Peninsula. Close enough to walk or cycle, you'll find two pubs serving home-cooked food when you don't want to cook. If you're celebrating, just outside the village you will find the award-winning Atlantic View Restaurant for incredible fresh seafood. The village also has a Co-Op supermarket, a Spar which sells fresh cooked pasties/pies at the hot counter, and a chocolate shop, and there are excellent farm shops nearby. Just four miles away, and on a regular bus route, at The Lizard, you will find two more pubs. Every meal can be a delicious experience when you stay here!
Lizard is a superb choice for anyone who loves being on or near the water. Although you're staying inland, you're never far from the coast and miles of spectacular coastline navigable via the South West Coast Path. The views over the Atlantic are unforgettable. We recommend starting at National Trust Mullion Cove with its late-Victorian harbour and hidden cave revealed at low tide. The sandy beach is dog-friendly all year round. You're also close to Polurrian Cove, Poldhu Cove (with an excellent beachfront cafe - don't miss it!), and Kynance Cove. On a sunny day, the white sand and turquoise water could be mistaken for somewhere in the tropics, though there's no mistaking it for Cornwall when the drama of an autumn storm rolls in. It's utterly gorgeous in all seasons and you won't be surprised to know there is a thriving community of artists who live here for the beauty of the landscape and the quality of the light.
If you're after a holiday destination packed with theme parks and busy towns, Lizard is not for you. That's not to say there isn't plenty to do here, just that it's wonderfully uncommercialised. Many visitors who stay at The Friendly Camp and Caravan Park have been returning for years, some for generations, and love how calm the area is. Swimming, surfing, fishing, snorkelling, diving, and coasteering are all easily accessible. Visit the Cornish Seal Sanctuary, Lizard Lighthouse, and the Poldhu Marconi Centre and The Lizard Wireless Station (closed in winter). Treat yourself to the sweet heaven of Roskilly's icecream made on their dairy farm in St Keverne.
The Friendly Camp and Caravan Park has a small number of pitches and touring caravan sites if you have family or friends who want to join you.

Each of the 12 static caravans on site has a similar layout. Some are pet friendly while others do not allow dogs. Please let the owner know when booking which you prefer.
Outside: There is parking next to your van and a level lawn with outdoor seating. Guests have shared use of the grounds which are a mix of lawns and shady picnic spots.
Additional Information: Utilities and WiFi are included with holiday rental. Guests to bring all bedding (including pillows and duvets), bath towels and beach towels. Smoking is not permitted.
