Waterside Lodge sleeps up to six guests (plus infant in a travel cot) in three bedrooms and is a delightful timber framed lodge, built and presented to a high standard of character and style. Made from English oak, there are plenty of exposed beams throughout, adding to the charm of the property, which sits in an idyllic setting with a riverside garden (including lovely large patio) to relax in the summer months. A 'log burner' effect gas fire also makes the lodge appealing for those looking for a winter break and perfect for snuggling up after an invigorating walk along the beach.
Within easy reach of Cornwall's stunning North coast, Waterside Lodge is nicely tucked away within a private gated development on the outskirts of Davidstow Moor within a peaceful valley setting where the River Inny passes through. Enjoy your days lazing on one of the many beautiful beaches such as Bossiney Cove (the closest to the lodge) or Trebarwith Strand; cycling the Camel Trail; walking the South West Coastal Path or the beautiful moors of Davidstow and Bodmin; or visiting one of the areas many attractions.
The surrounding area offers some of the South West's finest surfing beaches such as Bude and Polzeath, fantastic fishing, golf (Bowood Park Course is just five miles from the lodge), horse riding and plenty of opportunities for water sports both out on the sea and inland on lakes including kayaking, sailing, water-skiing and even scuba diving from Harlyn.
Padstow is within driving distance and a must for foodies with an excellent selection of restaurants where you can sample the freshest of fish straight from the harbour. A tour of Camel Valley Vineyard is perfect for a lazy relaxing day, as is a trip on the Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway. Port Isaac (home to Doc Martin) is also within easy reach, and even closer still are Tintagel and Boscastle, both wrapped in myth, legend and pure natural beauty.
For garden enthusiasts, the area with its wonderful climate offers magnificent gardens to stroll around. Visit RHS Rosemoor in the welcoming market town of Great Torrington, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Pencarrow House and Gardens or the world famous Eden Project (a great all weather attraction with a busy calendar of events all year round). And for the little ones, a trip to Crealy Adventure Park, Newquay Zoo, Flambards and the Blue Reef Aquarium are just a few great days out that are sure to be a holiday highlight. For something a little more adventurous, try The Barn Climbing Wall, Just outside Launceston. It's a friendly, social, dedicated climbing facility. Run by climbers, for climbers, and anyone interested in having a go. Courses and taster sessions indoors, are available. https://www.waterside-lodge.com https://www.facebook.com/WatersideLodgeCornwall/
