About The Stable

The Stable is a two hundred year-old detached holiday cottage accommodating four guests, and overlooking fields. Formerly used for stabling working horses and cider-making, it now provides a comfortable, cosy retreat which features a wealth of beautiful elm beams.

Located on a quiet working farm, The Stable sits well back from the no-through, single-track country lane and provides a peaceful retreat where you can relax. The Gloucestershire village of Whitminster is just a half a mile away offering a garden centre with many outlets (including farm shop and cafe/restaurant), convenience store, Chinese and Indian restaurant/takeaways and pubs serving meals.

For walkers there are public footpaths which can be accessed directly from the farm and there are plenty of attractions within easy driving distance and twenty five miles. These include the pretty villages and historic towns of The Cotswolds, Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust, Berkeley Castle, Royal Forest of Dean, The Severn Bridge(s), Westonbirt Arboretum and the historic city of Gloucester and towns of Cheltenham and Tewkesbury.

For those happy to venture a little further afield, you have the city of Bath, Stratford-upon-Avon and the Malvern Hills - all providing great day trips out.
