About Chipping Campden

Chipping Campden is near the borders of Warwickshire and Worcestershire, and while it's hard to imagine you could exhaust the fantastic pubs, restaurants, shops and boutiques of the Cotswolds, Stratford-upon-Avon and Oxford are within reach if you do.

Walking through this pretty wool merchant's town almost feels as if you are on a film set, but it's typical of Chipping Campden that these buildings are as much a part of daily life today as they have always been. At the end of the High Street is Grevel House. Built in 1380, it is one of the oldest surviving houses in the area and an impressive example of 14th Century architecture. Take a short stroll down the road to the Old Grammar School, now a fantastic antique centre, before moving on to the National Trust managed Old Market Place; and don't miss St James' Church and the Town Hall.

Ramblers and nature lovers are spoiled for choice with the abundance of countryside on the doorstep, but you'll be happy even if your idea of "getting back to nature" is sitting in the garden with a drink. Isn't it time you put a self-catering Chipping Campden break on your agenda?
