Drystone Manor is a large holiday rental in rural Gloucestershire. Its size and features are impressive. There is space for 16 people to sleep in seven bedrooms, a cinema room with a 75-inch TV, an outdoor swim spa hot tub for 10 adults, and a tennis court. It's a superb choice for a house party with friends, a celebration with your family, or a relaxed reunion with your favourite people. The self-catering facilities are fantastic whether you're cooking in the kitchen or lighting the barbecue. If you aren't in the mood to cook, there are three pubs - The Fox, the Codrington Arms, and the White Hart Inn in Iron Acton, within a 20-minute walk. Catering can also be arranged.
Iron Acton is a small village ten miles from Bristol and 15 miles from Bath. It has good links to the M4 and the M5 and is just a mile from Yate train station. The location is perfect whether you're gathering people from around the country or want to escape without awkward and tiring travel plans. It's great if you want to spend a day shopping and sightseeing, or a night out in the city, as everything is within a short drive or taxi ride. However, the facilities at Drystone Manor are so good that you don't have to go anywhere. Behind the electronic gates, the property is wonderfully peaceful and private. Play tennis, laze on the terrace, picnic by the pond, or stay in the heated swim spa hot tub until your fingers and toes happily wrinkle.
This region is often overlooked in favour of the Cotswolds - a crying shame given the extent of its beauty and charm. Woodlands, rolling hills, orchards and farmland are liberally scattered with pretty villages, country pubs and churches, historic towns, and vibrant cities. You're close enough to the Cotswolds for day trips and within reach of the River Severn should you wish to cross into Wales. Walking, cycling, fishing, golf, and country pursuits like shooting clays are all possible. National Trust Newark Park, Badminton House, Berkeley Castle, and Castle Combe are attractions nearby.
You can book Drystone Manor for a week or a weekend. The owners can help arrange special touches like booking a chef or recommending local restaurants.
