With the village shop a short stroll away, an excellent bus service in to The Lake District, Carnforth & Lancaster with excellent footpaths leading from the village, it's no surprise that Hutton House Cottage is popular with couples, families and friends. The two-bedroom holiday home is in the quiet community of Burton-in-Kendal and close to the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Forest of Bowland, and Arnside and Silverdale AONB. You're only five miles from beautiful Morecambe Bay and 20 miles from Windermere, with Kendal, Keswick, Ullswater and Scafell Pike all nearby for days of climbing, walking, mountain biking and sightseeing. 

If you wake every morning with the urge to pull the covers back over your head, it's time to book a self-catering holiday at Lakeside Cottage. The former gamekeeper's cottage sleeps four people and has a path to a private jetty on the lake. It's set within a nature reserve a 20-minute walk from Silverdale, where there are two pubs, a small supermarket and other amenities. Morecambe Bay, Kendal, Windermere, Cartmel, Grange-over-Sands, and Lancaster are all within easy reach, and there are beautiful walks and mountain bike trails from the cottage door. 

Warton is the Clarke Kent of holiday locations. On the surface, it's a seemingly normal village with excellent pubs, cafes and shops, but its location makes it a holiday superhero. Within an easy drive, you can be strolling around the coast of Morecambe Bay, sailing on Windermere, hiking through the fells or climbing a mountain. The Stables is a delightful stone holiday cottage on a quiet street in the village, a short walk from all the action with a walled courtyard garden and space to sleep six people in three bedrooms (plus one additional person on a sofabed in the sunroom).
