Swallow Barn is on Waterloo Farm in a blissfully rural location not far from Launceston. It's one of six superb holiday cottages on the site, where guests enjoy amenities that include a heated outdoor swimming pool, a play area with a sandpit and swings, a wildlife hide, and seasonal fishing, all amongst the backdrop of 200-acres of beautiful Cornish farmland. The dog-friendly (in off-peak season) holiday home sleeps five people plus an infant in two bedrooms. It's wonderfully welcoming for families but not too big that couples feel overwhelmed.
Waterloo Farm is on the edge of Hellescott village, four miles from Launceston, four miles from Bodmin Moor, and 11 miles from Crackington Haven and other spectacular North Cornwall beaches. It's a stunning place for a holiday, especially if you enjoy walking, cycling or mountain biking. However, you don't have to be active to appreciate the beautiful views, historic towns and charming villages, and delicious food. Launceston has a big supermarket and a choice of independent shops and places to eat. If you prefer, you can arrange to have groceries delivered from Asda, Tesco or Waitrose after you arrive. Bude has more shops and a leisure centre with an indoor swimming pool.
You don't have to leave the farm to have an amazing holiday. The kids will love the pool, play area, games room, and big lawn with football goals. Wander around the farm and use the wildlife hide to spot various birds and wildlife such as kingfishers, otters, deer and herons. Guests can go coarse fishing on Bolesbridge Water or fly-fishing on the River Ottery. However, there's so much on the doorstep that it would be a shame to miss sightseeing at Tintagel and Boscastle, surfing at Bude, having fun on the rides at Trethorne Leisure Park, or scaring yourself at haunted Bodmin Jail.
Swallow Barn is available all year round for holiday bookings and can be booked together with other cottages on the farm to accommodate extended families or friends.

Swallow Barn is a lovely barn conversion with loads of rustic charm and accommodation over two levels. It's great for families, especially those with younger children, as it's near the sandpit play area.

Outside: The cottage has a private seating area and allocated parking. Guests have use of all of the amenities at Waterloo Farm.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi and bed linen are included. Bath towels are available to hire. Shared coin-operated laundry facilities are on site. A travel cot and a high chair are available - guests to bring cot bedding if it is required. One well-behaved dog is welcome by arrangement and a weekly surcharge of £20. Smoking on site is not permitted.
