Owl Cottage is a contemporary holiday home in a tranquil location close to the spectacular beaches of North Cornwall. It is ideal for families or friends as it comfortably sleeps four people in two bedrooms with an optional good quality double sofa bed to increase accommodation to 6. The sofa bed can be left made up for the duration of the stay without any major impact on the living/dining space. There’s also a very large garden, separate games room and outdoor hot tub. The cottage is on the fringes of St Minver, three miles from Wadebridge, 4 miles from Polzeath and within easy reach of Bodmin Moor and The Camel Estuary. It’s a fantastic holiday destination with plenty to see and do in all seasons and every type of weather.
St Minver is an idyllic village in a picturesque location loved by walkers and cyclists for its accessibility to beautiful footpaths and cycling routes leading through the countryside and along the coast. It's blissfully peaceful, especially in summer when beachside towns and villages are busy yet convenient for North Cornwall beaches and attractions. Polzeath and Rock are less than 10-minutes by car or around 20-30 minutes by bicycle, giving you excellent access to the spectacular coastline and fantastic restaurants, shops and other amenities like surfing tuition, sailing tuition and sea safari’s/boat trips. A favourite day out is cycling along the 18-mile Camel Trail from Wadebridge to Padstow, stopping on the Iron Bridge for impressive views. Alternatively, follow the trail to Bodmin Moor, continuing to Wenfordbridge if you have the stamina.
Pack a picnic and your beach chair and head to Daymer Bay and Rock for a day of sun, sand and sea. Hawker's Cove is another scenic spot, but you're spoiled for choice with this stretch of coastline and the South West Coast Path. Padstow is a quaint harbour town with some of the best seafood restaurants in the Southwest of England, including Rick Stein’s. You will often find children crabbing off the harbour walls and enjoying an ice cream. Alternatively, head to St Enodoc golf club where you can combine the views with one of the finest golf courses in the world.
Owl Cottage welcomes guests all year round, with visitors remarking on the high standard of the facilities and thoughtful touches like dry robes and a welcome basket of local goodies.

Outside: A separate building houses a games room with a children's multi games table, children's dart board, adult dart board and adult pool table. The owner also provides a variety of beach toys (buckets, spades, bodyboards), boules, cricket bats and balls. The garden has a large lawn with a football goal and a basketball net. There is also a second seated patio area with a fire pit situated to make the most of the evening sun, and a six-person hot tub. Please note that there is a small steep drop into a shallow narrow stream around two sides of the garden so children need to be supervised in the garden.
There is off-street parking for several cars.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. The owner also provides dry-robes for use at the beach or by the hot tub, and fuel for the wood burner and barbecue. Pets and smoking are not permitted.
