The Folly is a gorgeous cottage in a peacefully rural location within easy reach of Bude, Widemouth Bay and other beautiful beaches on Cornwall's north coast. It is one of six stunning self-catering cottages on the Hele Barton Estate, but completely self-contained with no nearby neighbours. Boasting a private garden of a third of an acre, a fire-pit and an outdoor hot tub, along with access to the estate's coarse fishing lakes. The three-bedroom cottage sleeps up to five people and is perfect for families and friends.
North Cornwall is a fantastic place to get away and enjoy the outdoors. Walking and cycling are popular all year round, especially with the breathtaking South West Coast Path giving easy access to panoramic views over the Atlantic. The north Cornish coast has a mix of sheltered harbours, vast beaches and rocky coves, so there is something for everyone, and watching the sunset over the ocean is a memory you'll hold close forever.
The Folly's rural position gives guests direct access to lovely walks through woodland and pastures where you may spot badgers and deer at sunset. The three coarse fishing ponds on the owner's estate are stocked with carp and tench and open from dusk until dawn 365 days a year, which makes the cottage perfect for keen anglers and an ideal spot to get away from it all. The estate's grounds are available for guests to use so pack a picnic and find a shady tree for the perfect day out.

Outside: The Folly sits in a third of an acre of garden, much of which is level lawn that is perfect for running around and playing ball games. There is a fire-pit with granite roller seating, and an outdoor hot tub with the most amazing views - relax and watch the sunset over the Atlantic before star gazing. Plenty of off-street parking.
Additional information: Beds will be made up for your arrival. All bed linen and cottage towels are provided. No smoking inside cottages. Please note that the ponds and lake are deep and unfenced. The hot tub in the garden is unfenced. Central heating throughout. Up to four well-behaved dogs are welcome. Please note we do not supply cots for infants. This is a quirky, 300 year old cottage and as such, some of the doors and ceilings are lower than modern builds. There are internal steps and as such it may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility.
