The Old Bakery Seahouses is an absolute find for couples! This gem of a holiday cottage is in the fishing village of Seahouses and is beautifully presented to suit couples and independent travellers. You're close to everything, including fish and chip shops, the waterfront Bamburgh Castle Inn and Seahouses Harbour, while remaining tucked away in a quiet spot with off-street parking and no passing traffic. Sounds idyllic, doesn't it? Whether you want a summer self-catering holiday by the beach or are exploring the spectacular Northumberland coast in the off-season, you will love the high standard of accommodation.
Seahouses is a traditional fishing village in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty three miles south of Bamburgh and 20 miles north of Alnwick. It's a lovely place to visit in any season. Start exploring by the harbour, where fishing and tour boats add colour and vibrancy to the scenery. The harbour is where you'll book your boat trip to the Farne Islands to see the colonies of puffins and grey seals that thrive in the protected environment. You can also book a boat to Holy Island if you don't want to drive or walk over the causeway and risk getting caught by the low tide. Anyone passionate about walking will be thrilled with the number and diversity of footpaths. Walk along the coastal footpath to Bamburgh, spending a few happy hours discovering the charm of the castle, shops and cafes before returning home on foot or the regular bus service that stops near the cottage.
For days out, go to Alnwick Castle and see where Harry Potter learned to fly a broomstick. National Trust Cragside in Morpeth is Britain's first "smart home", with features that wouldn't be out of place today, 150 years after construction. Hadrian's Wall and Vindolanda are fantastic for discovering the legacy of Roman occupation, while Berwick-Upon-Tweed has a castle, an impressive bridge, and a beach. Nearby activities include golf, fishing, swimming, paddleboarding, and horseriding.

The Old Bakery Seahouses is a small but perfectly formed terrace cottage with accommodation over two levels. Bed linen and bath towels are provided. You will need to bring beach towels if required.

Outside: There is a private parking spot immediately outside the cottage, and a balcony with a table and chairs.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. Smoking and pets are not allowed.
Our changeover days are Friday and Monday.
We do not accept pets.
