The Forge
The Forge is a two-bedroom two-bathroom luxury barn conversion set in a quiet development, with spacious rooms, vaulted ceilings, king size comfy beds, open plan kitchen dining area, large lounge with ingle nook fireplace and stove, enclosed rear garden, and patio area. It is a 10–15-minute walk into Seahouses Village, harbour and St Aidens beach, with lots of shops, pubs and restaurants and boat trips to the famous Farne islands, where you can take a trip to see the wildlife and Puffins.
The cottage is the perfect base to explore the Northumberland coastline, with Beadnell Village a mile away, boasting its crescent shaped bay which is perfect for water sports enthusiasts with miles of unspoilt beach and bird sanctuary.
Further along the coast there is the historic village of Bamburgh with its imposing Castle, dating back to the 6th century, you can take a tour and visit the dungeons and armoury.
Holy island is another popular destination and is also known as Lindisfarne, this is a tidal island, and the causeway can only be crossed at low tide, there is Lindisfarne Castle and Priory to visit along with lots of coffee shops and restaurants on the island but be sure to keep and eye on the crossing times to ensure a safe journey back.
Northumberland boasts lots of sweeping plains and rugged hills and moors and there are a number of national trails you can walk or cycle, with lots of historic sites, such as Hadrian’s wall, Vindolanda and Roman artifacts and sites to explore, along with Cragside Hall and gardens, Alnwick castle is another place to see, you can visit the Castle and grounds where Harry Potter was filmed.
