Bramley Cottage is a gorgeous stone farmhouse in Lucker. Tucked away in this quiet village three miles from Bamburgh on the Northumberland Coast AONB and the Northumberland National Park, it is perfect for a self-catering holiday with family and friends. The holiday rental sleeps eight people in four beautifully appointed bedrooms, with a sofa bed in the master bedroom increasing accommodation to ten. There is a beauty spa within strolling distance and it's just a stone's throw from the friendly village pub, The Apple Inn, and a popular cafe that hosts intimate weddings and other celebrations.
There is nothing dainty or understated about the scenery in Northumberland. Everything feels a little better than average. The beaches are longer, and the sand is softer. The skies are bigger, and the stars are brighter and more plentiful. The history! Well, there aren't that many places where you can combine Roman ruins (Hadrian's Wall) with Saxon castles (Bamburgh) and even sites of Viking Raids (Lindisfarne). Throw in golf courses, beach and sea fishing, and endless miles of routes for walking, cycling, mountain biking and horse riding, and you can see why some guests return to these charming holiday homes, enjoying the sense of peace and wonder that comes from staying somewhere so beautiful.
As well as its magnificent castle, Bamburgh has a clutch of independent shops and eateries and is an excellent place to pick up groceries for your self-catering holiday. Days out can include a trip to Hogwarts, better known to muggles as Alnwick Castle. Take a boat trip from Seahouses to Farne Islands to see the puffins and seals, or cross the causeway to Holy Island, being very careful to time your journey with low tide. Alnmouth is lovely, and you're less than half an hour's drive from Berwick-Upon-Tweed and the Scottish Border.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen, bath towels and fuel for the log burner are included. A travel cot and a high chair are available but you will need to bring cot bedding.
