Melinda Cottage is a fantastic family-friendly holiday rental on the Norfolk Coast. The end-terrace former fisherman's cottage has been brought into the 21st Century with an open-plan ground floor and modern self-catering features without losing the character and charm of its Victorian heritage. Set back from the High Street, a short stroll from cafes, shops and the Fishing Boat pub, and only a two-minute walk from East Runton Beach makes the location wonderfully convenient and delightfully peaceful to give you the best of both worlds for your holiday. Melinda Cottage sleeps five people in three bedrooms and is a favourite for couples and families, including those with dogs.
East Runton is a lovely coastal village between Cromer and Sheringham. It boasts a Blue Flag beach with views of Cromer Pier, about a mile away. While East Runton beach allows dogs, Cromer does not, so you can either walk your pooch to Cromer along the Norfolk Coast Path or go in the other direction to West Runton Beach. With spectacular views in both directions, you're never without a beautiful sight, no matter which way you walk. The great thing about Norfolk is that it's a place where you can do nothing or everything and still have a fantastic time. Some people who stay at Melinda Cottage are perfectly content to park their car and go everywhere on foot or bicycle during their stay, while others love exploring as many beaches as they can reach.
Local attractions include the award-winning Cromer Pier. Opened in June 1901, it is a very early Edwardian example stretching 151 metres over the water with the famous Cromer Pier Show in the theatre at the end. Do not miss dining on fresh Cromer crab and lobster. Many restaurants serve the day's catch with chilled white wine, but it's just as delicious eaten with buttery fingers on the beach. Other places to visit are the Cromer RNLI Lifeboat Station, Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary, and Amazona Zoo. National Trust Felbrig Hall and Bickling are within a short drive, while the Norfolk Broads and historic Norwich are close enough for a day out. There are golf courses and surf schools, museums and movie theatres. Whatever the weather and interests, you'll find it easy to have fun when staying at Melinda Cottage.
