About Tracara - The Apartment

Tracara ground floor apartment offers self-catering for two (plus two) guests making it ideal for couples, friends or small families. Sitting in an enviable position alongside the river in the picturesque village of Horning in the Norfolk Broads, Tracara provides a welcoming retreat ideal for exploring the many attractions of Norfolk.

With breathtaking views and just a stones throw from the River Bure's edge, Tracara allow guests to immediately immerse themselves within the relaxing atmosphere of the Norfolk Broads.

Horning is a picturesque waterside village where little has changed over the years, and the village today still looks very similar to how it did back in the 1930's. There are some lovely places to sit and relax along the riverbank where you can watch the world float by.

The village offers a good selection of amenities with various shops, pubs, café, restaurants, a hotel, leisure centre and swimming pool. Here you can make the most of the waterside location and have a go at fishing, hire a boat or sit back and take an organised boat trip or ride on the ferry. Both of the pubs within Horning are popular due to their riverside location, excellent meals, real ales and quality wine. The Swan Inn dates back to the 19th Century and is a majestic building that has been a distinctive landmark for many years and The New Inn is popular due to its lovely riverside garden with palm trees.

There are plenty of things to see and do in this area and activities to participate in. For garden lovers, visit Fairhaven with over one hundred and thirty acres of tranquil ancient woods and its very own broad to discover; or for those wanting to relax, let the Southern Comfort paddle steamer show you the sights between Horning and Ranworth.

Tracara is within reach of Norfolk's glorious golden beaches with Southwold, Great Yarmouth, Wells, Lowestoft, Gorleston and Cromer great for a day trip out.

Travel a little further afield and visit the vibrant city of Norwich (eleven miles), where you can enjoy the arts, lots of places for a meal out, shop till you drop and admire the beauty of Norwich Cathedral. Bewilderwood with its award winning adventure park provides a great day out for the little ones and is sure to be a holiday highlight.

The Norfolk Broads is a famous network of inland water ways that has attracted visitors year after year who want to enjoy the wildlife, scenery, boating, beaches, fishing, and sailing. Here you can enjoy the lovely walks, bike rides, boat trips or simply relax and unwind.
