The charming single-storey holiday cottage is in the grounds of The Old Rectory in Flixton, with one bedroom and a layout that appeals to couples. You'll have all the space and privacy you crave with seven acres of grounds to explore. The village pub, The Buck Inn, is a short walk away, serving locally brewed beers and a seasonal menu of delicious meals. The owners are keen to share their love of this area with guests and protect its beauty for future generations to enjoy, so they have been members of the Green Tourism Scheme since 2014.
Flixton is a pretty village in East Suffolk, around two miles from Bungay and the Suffolk Broads. It's perfect for a walking, cycling, fishing or boating holiday, with a gentle landscape that looks its best all year round. Flixton is home to the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum, a must-see for anyone interested in aircraft. Other popular local attractions include Tours of St Peter's Brewery, The East Anglia Transport Museum, The Fisher Theatre and Bungay Castle. Drive the scenic 20-minute journey to Beccles and hire a boat to explore the Broads, or keep going for another 20 minutes to reach the coast and beaches at Lowestoft, Southwold or Great Yarmouth. Norwich is around 20 miles north of Orchard View, with winding medieval lanes lined with shops, restaurants, theatres, and galleries.
Bungay is a welcoming market town with views over the meadows of Bungay Common that have changed little over the centuries. Groceries and supplies for a self-catering holiday are in Bungay, close enough to cycle if you want to leave the car behind. Bungay has a good choice of cafes and restaurants and is a favourite destination for a gentle walk. The area of the Waveney Valley between Orchard View and Bungay is a haven for birds, with serious bird watchers also having the opportunity to visit nature reserves at Minsmere, Dunwich and Benacre Broad.

Orchard View is a purpose-built holiday home overlooking the orchards of The Old Rectory with tranquil countryside views. It sits gently in its surroundings with a comfortable interior furnished with guests' comfort in mind.
Outside: The cottage has two decks with furniture so you can sit and enjoy the sunshine and the beautiful starry night skies. There is a large lawn and guests have shared use of the extensive grounds.
Additional information: This property may be suitable for less mobile guests - please speak to the owner to discuss your specific requirements before booking. Two well behaved dogs are welcome. No smoking. A laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer is available for the shared use of guests. Prices include central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels. WiFi internet access available. Short breaks are available all year round.
