Flintstones is a traditional red brick and flint family holiday cottage in the popular seaside resort of Sheringham with lovely views over Beeston Common. Accommodation is over three levels and includes three bedrooms to sleep up to five people, with a nursery next to the master bedroom for an extra infant or young child. Staying at Flintstones puts you within a short walk of Sheringham's beach, shops, cafes, and family-friendly pubs. The cottage is on the edge of town and also within walking distance of bus stops and the train station, so it's simple to get around using public transport.
Sheringham is about as perfect as it gets for your seaside family holiday. To start, it has two huge beaches, both with Blue Flag Status. Shingle at high tide, low tide reveals a vast expanse of golden sand and shallow water ideal for swimming, paddle boarding and playing. Colourful beach huts line the shore, and lifeguards patrol in summer. It's a blissful slice of bucket-and-spade living that will leave you with sunny memories long after your holiday is over. Slightly back from the shoreline, the town is a bustling mix of independent and recognisable High Street names. You don't need to start your day's adventure by squeezing everyone into the car, stopping for the toilet or a snack, or any other hassle that comes from travelling with children. Everything you need, from supermarkets to ice-cream cones, is within walking distance.
Many guests at Flintstones are perfectly happy parking the car and staying in Sheringham for the duration of their stay. There's plenty to keep everyone happy, including the National Trust Sheringham Park, a boating lake, woodland walks, and a local museum. Sheringham is on the heritage North Norfolk Railway Poppy Line that goes along the edge of Sheringham Park to the pretty Georgian town of Holt for a happy few hours of shopping and sightseeing. You can walk along the coastal footpath to Cromer's famous pier, stopping for fresh crab rolls before walking the four miles back to the cottage. North Norfolk's coast stretches for 45 miles with other beautiful beaches, including Wells-next-the-Sea and Overstrand.
Local attractions include Amazona Zoo, Felbrigg Hall, the Muckleburgh Collection, Thrigby Hall, SEA LIFE Hunstanton, Pensthorpe Natural Park, and Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure. BeWilderwood is always a great family day out, while older children love the excitement of the activities at Hilltop Outdoor Centre. North Norfolk has a huge variety of amenities and attractions for every type of weather. No matter what the season, it's always a delight to stay at Flintstones.
