Sandringham Cottage sleeps up to four guests in two bedrooms and sits in an enviable riverside position in the popular Broadland village of Wroxham on the banks of the River Bure. Ideally placed in the very heart of the Norfolk Broads, with miles of tranquil waterways to explore on the doorstep, the cottage is just ten miles from both Norfolk's beautiful golden beaches and the vibrant City of Norwich - a perfect retreat at any time of the year.
Located on a small estate of private holiday homes, Sandringham Cottage has excellent amenities on its doorstep and is located very close to Wroxham Bridge. There is a covered south facing veranda outside where you can sit back with a glass of wine and watch the world sail past on the river - a view that is ever changing and a delight at any time of the day. If you enjoy fishing, you are able to fish (when in season providing you have the appropriate licence in season) the River Bure alongside the cottage from our private riverside garden area within stones throw of Wroxham bridge where you may be lucky enough to catch pike, bream and perch among others. The area is also a haven for wild and bird life with many swans, ducks, geese, moorhens, cormorants and even herons that can be seen from the veranda.
Wroxham is known as "The Capital of the Broads" and is the perfect place for water based activities. Hire a boat or bring your own dinghy or kayak to explore the waterways under your own steam and keep your small craft on our private mooring right outside the cottage for the duration of your stay. Alternatively, take a leisure skippered boat trip from the marina just behind the cottage and sit back and enjoy the informative commentary. With something to suit all everyone, there are no shortage of attractions for those who can tear themselves away from the water’s edge. Visit Wroxham Barns Craft Centre; take a ride on the Bure Valley Steam Railway; explore Wroxham Broad and Hoveton Hall Gardens. Alternatively venture a little further afield and take a day trip to Norwich with its castle, cathedral, superb shopping and great choice of eating establishments or visit one of the country houses: Sandringham or Blickling Hall or try Thursford for their Christmas spectacular.
Sandringham Cottage is situated just a short stroll from the centre of Wroxham village with a good selection of shops, pubs and eating establishments nearby so no need to even set foot in the car during your stay should you prefer not to. An idyllic riverside position with a private riverside garden and enjoying the wider Peninsula shared gardens perfectly placed for a relaxing break where you can completely unwind.

Bed linen and towels are provided, along with tea towels, oven gloves and a dish cloth. Electricity used is included in the price within reason. Wi-Fi is available. Complimentary allocated parking at the end of the row of cottages for one vehicle with parking for a second car or small boat trailer by separate arrangement. Unfortunately due to the waterside location, no children under ten years of age. There is a public launderette just a short stroll away should you need it. There is complimentary use of our private mooring twenty four feet across the grass from the cottage doors, suitable for one or two smaller boats up to 20 feet long each (included in the price).
