The Whim is a delightful sky-blue holiday home in a cliff-top location in Mundesley with jaw-dropping views. It is big enough to accommodate 14 people in seven spacious bedrooms, so it is ideal for extended families and friends, yet it still feels welcoming and homely. The house retains period features like high ceilings and decorative fireplaces and has been updated with a heated swimming pool and a sauna for the ultimate relaxed holiday. Guests love the peaceful location slightly outside the village centre and within walking distance of the beach, the Ship Inn pub, and two small shops well-stocked with essentials to make your self-catering stay easy.
Mundesley is a small, mainly residential, village on the North Norfolk Coast. The seafront is lined with brightly coloured beach huts that can be hired from the local authority, though it's best to get your application in early as they are very popular in school holidays. The beauty of the North Sea and sandy Blue Flag beach made Mundesley a favourite holiday location for discerning Victorians, evident in graceful villas like The Whim. Locals and visitors appreciate Paston Way and the Norfolk Coast Path for walking, the nearby Southrepps Common for woodland strolls and a beautiful display of wildflowers in spring and summer. Mundesley's nine-hole golf course has some of the finest views in Norfolk, and its beach is good for sea fishing. In summer, local businesses offer surfing tuition and board hire. The skate park, playground and tennis court are open all year round.
There's no chance of being bored when you stay at The Whim. Spend lazy days by the pool at home, or take to the beach to relax on the sand and poke around in the rock pools. Mundesley is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with a choice of footpaths and cycling routes, including a circular way around the village. Cromer is 6.5 miles north of The Whim, with a historic pier, superb golf course, and various attractions like Amazona Zoo. The Norfolk Broads are only half an hour south, and you can easily reach places like beWILDerwood, ROARR!, and Norwich castle and cathedral.
The Whim is unfussy and very comfortable - the sort of place families with kids can relax without worry that they'll rumple overly fancy curtains or leave sticky fingerprints on expensive and useless ornaments. Guests love it, and we think that you will too.

Outside: There is parking on the driveway of The Whim. The rear garden has a large deck with an outdoor dining table. The heated pool is covered and available for use year-round. The sauna seats two people.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, and bed linen are included. You will need to bring bath and beach towels, as well as cot bedding if it is required. Pets are welcome by arrangement. Smoking is not permitted.
