The decked quay at the end of the garden is perfect for a peaceful drink, or anglers can enjoy a spot of fishing. Inside, the owners have ensured that you will want for nothing. Not only will cooks love the exceptionally well equipped kitchen, but the property also boasts a wood burning stove (free logs provided), Smart TVs in every bedroom, a Wii, Xbox and Amazon Alexa. The glass sliding doors from the open plan living area enables you to make the most of the uninterupted views of the river and garden, whilst the glass balcony and seating area off the master bedroom is the perfect secluded spot for an evening sundowner. Sleeping six guests in three bedrooms, Whispering Reeds Cottage is perfect for families or couples.
Just a ten minute walk away you will find restaurants, cafes, bars and shops sitting along the banks of the River Bure in the pretty village of Horning. The best way to admire the stunning scenery and abundance of wildlife is to hire a boat or hop on board the Southern Comfort Paddle Steamer. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy a paddle boarding lesson or simply watch the boating action from one of the riverside pubs. If you would prefer to explore the area on dry land there are plenty of walking and cycling routes that take you around the village and into the nearby countryside.
If you want to venture further afield, just four miles away in the village of Wroxham you will find a wider selection of fine eateries and shops as well as a miniature world's model museum and a steam train which takes you to the market town of Aylsham. Kids will love a day out at the treetop adventure park at BeWILDerwood or the The Dinosaur Park at Lenwade, whilst less than half an hour away, the vast stretch of sand at Winterton-on-Sea will satisfy any beach cravings. The fantastic cathedral, museums and shopping in the city of Norwich are just 11 miles away, and there are numerous National Trust properties including the Blickling Estate, Felbrigg Hall and Gardens and Horsey Windpump nearby.

Outside: Step outside the sliding doors into the large enclosed garden which has an outdoor kitchen, two illuminated decks, a fire pit, gas barbecue and lawned area. Enjoy a glass of something fizzy in the hot tub or sit back and relax on the glass balcony under the patio heaters. There is private off road parking with CCTV for two cars, with further parking on the road if need.
Additional information: Superfast Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels, electric central heating, logs for the wood burner and a welcome pack are included. Two well behaved dogs are welcome free of charge. Please note that the garden leads to the waters edge so children and dogs need to be supervised at all times. A 20 foot day boat available for hire by arrangement with the owners. No smoking.
