About The Boathouse

The Boathouse is a coastal holiday cottage in the small village of Little Haven in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. This popular property has been given a contemporary facelift and is now a fresh, welcoming space sleeping five people in two bedrooms. Little Haven beach is less than a minute from the cottage, with guests within walking distance of three pubs, a cafe, an art gallery and a craft shop. It's an idyllic beach holiday home in West Wales that is perfect for your next holiday as a couple or a family.

Little Haven is a superb example of why the Pembrokeshire coast is ideal for a holiday in any season. With its gorgeous beach, beautiful walks along the coast and through the countryside, and friendly locals, you'll quickly settle in and feel as if you've been visiting here for years. It's traditional in the bucket-and-spade, rather than the kiss-me-quick sense. Little Haven has plenty of sandy shoreline and rock pools to explore but no hint of amusement arcades and tacky souvenirs. At low tide, it's possible to walk around the shore to neighbouring Broad Haven, Little Haven's bigger brother with more amenities, a summer surf school, and equipment hire. Fifteen minutes away, Haverfordwest has a supermarket and a buzzing Friday market with local stallholders selling regional food, drink and other items.

The Pembrokeshire Coast Path attracts visitors all year round. The views, especially those from Little Haven to St Brides in the south and Newgale and Solva in the north, are breathtaking. A regular bus service, the Puffin Shuttle, means that you can happily exhaust yourself on the way out and catch the bus back to the village, stopping off for a takeaway or a refreshing pint or pub meal if you don't feel like cooking.

Days out can include visiting historic places like St David's Cathedral and Pembroke Castle. Try your luck crabbing from the harbour walls at Solva before walking to the top of the Gribbin. Tenby, Folly Farm, the waterfront at Milford, and Picton Sands are all potential destinations for a day out. Bring or hire a mountain bike or an e-bike to explore the Preseli Hills, or take a boat trip to Skomer Island to see the puffins. There is such a huge choice of activities and attractions to fill your days with fun.
