Bank End Barn is a semi-detached barn providing holiday accommodation for up to eleven guests in five bedrooms with character beams and fantastic views to Kirkby fells and the Duddon Estuary. It has been awarded 3 stars by VisitBritain and is positioned amongst beautiful unspoilt countryside and has an enclosed garden with lovely views to the fells.
Located in the small farming community of Grizebeck, between the market town of Broughton and Lowick, Bank End Cottage is a few miles from the quiet unspoilt Duddon Valley, with plenty of activities on the doorstep to keep the family amused.
The small market town of Broughton is just three miles away and is a delight to visit with its selection of tea shops, renowned delicatessen and village square with quaint cottages, along the Broughton Village Bakery and Cafe with free Wi-Fi access (voted one of the top three bakeries in ITV's Britains Best Bakery 2012).
Bank End Barn is ideally located for exploring the Lake District and its many attractions; it is six miles to the south end of Lake Coniston. The market town Ulverston with its many festivals and Stan Laurel museum is six miles away. A twenty minute drive takes you to Lake Windemere, Haverthwaite Railway, Holker Hall, Lakes Aquarium and South Lakes Animal Park.
Muncaster Castle and Owl Sanctuary and La'al Ratty (Ravenglass and Eskdale) Railway are approximately twenty miles away, making this an excellent base from which to tour the Lakes.
There are also plenty of outdoor activities nearby with “Go Ape” in Grizedale Forest, sailing and watersports at Coniston or Windermere, fishing, cycling, walking and horse riding.

Short breaks out of season may be available starting on a Friday to enable the Barn to be booked with Bank End Lodge next door, catering for parties up twenty guests.
