Self Catering Holiday Cottages in Penrith

Carleton House is a spacious period holiday home two miles from Penrith and just five miles from Ullswater. It's recently been fully refurbished inside and out to provide very comfortable accommodation for families and friends. It sleeps up to eight people in four bedrooms and is child and pet friendly. The location on the edge of Clifton village is perfect for exploring the Lake District, Forest of Bowland, Yorkshire Dales and Hadrian's Wall. Carleton House is available for holidays all year round. 

Fieldgate Farmstead is perfect for big groups. Whether you're hosting a family reunion, accommodating guests or a wedding party, or planning to celebrate a milestone event, the late Georgian farmhouse and beautifully converted barn in Bampton near Shap is an ideal destination. There is space for 30 people to sleep in 15 stylish bedrooms, each with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. The northern Lakeland fells are a favourite for walking and mountain biking. You're close to the River Lowther for fly fishing, and to Penrith, Carlisle, Ullswater, and the Scottish border for sightseeing. The farmhouse can be booked on its own for smaller groups of up to 16 people. 

Fieldgate Barn sits in Bampton's quiet Lowther Valley and is a 16th-century stone barn that's been transformed into a holiday cottage for 14 people plus two extra children. Seven ensuite bedrooms make it work well for big families or groups marking special occasions like a wedding or a big birthday. You'll find exposed beams and original oak kingpins alongside modern additions like underfloor heating. The self-catering accommodation puts you close to Bampton village, with the Coast to Coast Walk and Ullswater both nearby. There's plenty of space outside for BBQs and parking. Penrith's shops and restaurants are ten miles down the road, making this holiday rental a good base for exploring the Lake District fells.

Meadow View is positioned in a tranquil setting on the edge of the National Park, between Keswick and Penrith, within a small group of similar lodges. It is four miles from the village of Greystoke, with a traditional country pub and shop. This very comfortable Scandinavian style lodge, with a wood burning stove, has floor-to-ceiling windows providing extensive open views over the countryside with Blencathra in the distance. It is a haven for wildlife, including red squirrels, rabbits and many species of birds. 

The Cow House is exactly as it says, only without the cows. It has been beautifully restored to its 18th Century clean self, with green oak replacement beams,  blond oak floor and living space all on one level. We lie on the western edge of the Yorkshire Dales/ Westmorland Dales National Park extension and 5 miles east of  the Lakes district National Park at 1000' - limestone country and fells forever.

4 Mell Fell View is a beautiful holiday cottage with fantastic views of Little Mell Fell, Great Mell Fell and Helton Fell that surround Lake Ullswater. The owners have carefully restored the 17th Century property to provide very comfortable accommodation for four people with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is in the quiet Lake District village of Penruddock, close to Ullswater, Keswick and Penrith and within walking distance of the excellent Herdwick Inn. The cottage is dog-friendly and available all year round, providing a lovely holiday home for families, friends and couples. 

Four bedrooms, sleeps six, with a kingsize, doubles, and twin beds, with hotel style mattress's all with lovely views. Two bathrooms, one with bath and shower, the 2nd with large walk in shower.
